ISIS was asked to refurbish and fitout an existing 1920’s saw-tooth warehouse for the Skin and Cancer Foundation in Melbourne to bring their existing medical facilities completely up-to-date so that they could continue to perform their unique services.
The customer was involved throughout and wanted to have a hands-on role. We were able to manage their wishes to the satisfaction of all parties with a high quality of workmanship, integrity of design and overall timing.
As with any project of this nature, a close customer relationship was essential, due to the fact that their customers needed uninterrupted care. We were able to work around these needs with sensitivity.
All finished surfaces needed to be of the highest quality and workmanship to maintain long-term durability and meet hygiene requirements.
The transformation included the installation of completely new mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic and security services. We upgraded the entire façade and installed a new disabled lift, building entry, consulting, treatment, radiography and surgical rooms.
We were able to maintain control over the project through long lead times for material and equipment and by assigning adequate personnel.
By working so closely with a thorough and skilled customer and managing the multiple change requests, we were able to produce a great project outcome.
